Aim: To adapt a mobile app to support retailers and health promotion practitioners to assess and monitor the healthiness of in-store food environments in community-based service settings.
About: This project will adapt an existing food environment tool, Store Scout app, to assess the healthiness of the in-store food environment in kiosks, canteens, or cafés, such as food outlets in sports and recreation centres, healthcare settings and schools.
The app could be used in the assessment, planning and monitoring of healthy food retail changes by researchers, health promotion practitioners and retailers. Interest group would provide feedback on the development of the tool and identify stakeholders such as potential pilot users of the tool (including food outlets and governments).
