To create a healthy and sustainable online food retail environment

The Digital Food Retail Environments: Community of Research Practice recognises the significant impact of digital technologies in food retail provision, and seeks to identify ways to improve the healthiness of online food retail (including online grocery, online food delivery platforms and meal kits). It brings together relevant stakeholders to collaborate and develop resources and recommendations to support healthier online food retail practice and policies.

The group met on 1st June 2023 and included a presentation by Team Lead, Dr Adyya Gupta, outlining her VicHealth Fellowship entitled, ‘Impact of online food delivery services on youth’s food choices’.

Rebecca Bennett, PhD Candidate at Global Centre for Preventive Health and Nutrition also gave a presentation, entitled, ‘Australian shoppers’ experiences with online grocery platforms’.

A video recording of the meeting can be found here.

Our meetings are held quarterly and researchers from any discipline are welcome. Contact the Team Lead below to join in the conversation.
