Very great change starts from very small conversations, held among people who care.
Connecting for Social Impact
The Nourish Network is a multi-sector collective, working to diffuse innovative food retail practices for better social and environmental outcomes.
The Nourish Network is an initiative of Deakin University’s Institute for Health Transformation, based in Victoria, Australia and receives no funding from the food retail sector.
The Nourish Network has been formed to align, strengthen, and collectively grow the efforts of multiple actors and we currently include a diverse range of people from academia, business, non-profit organisations, and public agencies.
The Nourish Network provides members with complementary access to research, resources, and networking opportunities.
Vision
A vibrant food system that nourishes communities and regenerates the earth
Purpose
To work collaboratively to make healthy and sustainable food available and accessible to all; transforming food retail for the better health of people and planet
Way of Working
We work together with participants to identify gaps in research, policy, programs, and advocacy, that if addressed would support a transition to a healthier and sustainable food retail sector.
We have identified several areas of opportunity where working collaboratively could make a big impact. Each of these areas now has an Interest Group to move projects forwards.
Projects are small working groups comprised of participants with appropriate expertise and an interest in diffusing innovative research, policy, and practice.
All contributions to Interest Groups and Projects are made on a voluntary basis, and we greatly appreciate all the time and effort participants give to Nourish Network projects and programs.
